<p>PURPOSE:To feed paper in good conditions, by applying an application member being yet smaller in a friction factor to a paper feed roller in an image making device at a spot just behind a guide member out of a paper feed roller in a paper feeding unit, in case of a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:Sheets S in a paper feeding unit 20 are pressed to a paper feed roller 30 by a pressing device 50, delivered from the topmost paper in order with rotation of the paper feed roller 30, and reached to another paper feed roller in a copying machine body 1 along a guide member 23. And, a tip of each sheet S is considerably weakened of its conveying force due to weakness in its own stiffness, but it is applied to the paper feed roller by a pressing plate 27, obtaining new conveying force, thus it is fed to a resist roller pair 19. Here, when two or three sheets are doubly delivered out of the paper feed roller 20, conveyance of the lower sheet S is prevented by a handling member 6, but it is actually checked by the pressing plate 27 beforehand. Thus, good paper feeding is performable and, what is more, a handling action at the time of double feeding is also made possible.</p> |
