PURPOSE:To prevent ground contamination due to friction, enhance pressure- sensitive color forming properties and prevent bleeding, by microencapsulating a portion or the entire portion of a solvent for a leuco dye used as a color former. CONSTITUTION:A color former composition comprising a leuco dye, a wax and an at least partially microencapsulated leuco dye-dissolving substance as essential constituents, optionally with a filler, and being solid at normal temperature is applied to a base by hot-melt coating. Another base to be paired with the base is coated with a color developer composition comprising a phenol color developer capable of a color reaction with the leuco dye. At the time of transferring, microcapsules containing the leuco dye-dissolving substance are broken, and the leuco dye is dissolved, so that the reaction between the leuco dye and the phenol color developer proceeds rapidly, and a clear character or the like is transferred. |
