PURPOSE:To obtain an antifouling rubber composition having improved antifouling effect without lowing resistance to water and resistant to corrosion caused by the adhesion of marine life such as barnacle, algae, etc., by compounding a halogen-containing rubber with an organotin compound and a specific acid acceptor. CONSTITUTION:The objective rubber composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a halogen-containing rubber (e.g. chlorinated butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber, etc.) with (B) 2-20pts.wt. of an organotin compound (e.g. tri-n-butyltin fluoride, triphenyltin hydroxide, etc.) and (C) 2-20pts.wt. of an acid acceptor consisting of a metal having higher reactivity with halogen than tin ion (e.g. Na, K, Al, Fe, etc.) and carbonate ion (e.g. sodium bicarbonate, hydrotalcite, etc.).
