PURPOSE:To enable the formation of a polymer compsn. capable of giving molded items having excellent flame retardance such as fibers, films, etc. without detriment to the properties inherent to the molded items of acrylonitrile polymers, by copolymerizing 2,3-dibromopropyl (meth)acrylate with acrylonitrile in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising a copolymer composed of 5-45wt% 2,3-dibromopropyl (meth)acrylate of the formula (wherein R is H or CH3) and 95-55wt% acrylonitrile as essential ingredients. |
