PURPOSE:To obtain the titled conjugate fibers, consisting of a polyester, consisting of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid and tetramethylene glycol, etc., and having a specific melting point and a polyester having a higher melting point than that of the above-mentioned polyester and capable of providing high adhesive properties by heat treatment at a low temperature and in a short time. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyester, consisting of an acid component thereof containing 40-100mol% terephthalic acid component and 60-0mol% isophthalic acid component and a glycol component which is tetramethylene glycol component or hexamethylene glycol component and having <=160 deg.C melting point and (B) a polyester having a higher melting point than that of the component (A) are subjected to conjugate spinning using the component (A) as a sheath component and the component (B) as a core component to afford the aimed conjugate fibers having 10-70% ratio of the component (A) in an optional cross section of the fibers. |
