PURPOSE:To improve the durability and weatherability of a photosensitive body and to obtain a sharp copy by forming a protective layer of an amorphous material essentially consisting of B, C and N. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. at least Se is provided on a conductive base and the protective layer is formed thereon. The protective layer is formed of the amorphous material essentially consisting of B, C and N. For example, a-B-C-N:H, a-B-C-N-O, a-B-C-N-O:H, a-B-C-O:F, a-B-C-N-S, a-B-C-N-Si, etc., are used for the amorphous forming components. The hardness of the protective layer is about 1,000-3,000 Vickers hardness and the spectral transmissivity thereof at 400-800nm wavelength is >=85%. |
