PURPOSE:To obtain a guide which is free from degradation in surface accuracy and dimensional accuracy even when subjected to friction heat by using a cured body of an epoxy resin compsn. essentially consisting of a specific resin. CONSTITUTION:The tape guide having a cylindrical tape sliding surface subjected to mirror finishing is formed of the cured body of the epoxy resin compsn. which consists essentially of a novolak type epoxy resin and contains 60-80wt.% inorg. filler. This tape guide has high hot hardness and high thermal deformation temp. and is, therefore, stable to friction heat and since the guide has large thermal conductivity, the guide dissipates the friction heat to a greater extent and is free from the degradation in the surface accuracy and dimensional accuracy even when subjected to the friction heat.
