PURPOSE:To improve the availability of a cross-reference list in a debugging job, etc., by adding the information to each input/output number of the cross- reference list to specify the corresponding relation with a flowchart. CONSTITUTION:The input flowchart information is decoded and converted into a practicable mnemonic train by a programmable controller. At the same time, the information on a cross-reference list is produced in the form of a list showing the relationships among input/output numbers, the program addresses and the flowchart positions. These jobs are carried out by a list production means. Then a list output means performs the chart drawing processing based on the obtained cross-reference list information. A program address and its writing position on a flowchart are shown in each input number column of a produced cross-reference list. Thus it is possible to confirm the relation with the mnemonic train and also to easily confirm the relation with the flowchart. In such a way, the availability of the cross-reference list is improved.
