PURPOSE:To obtain a color filter with black stripes by patterning dyed parts on a substrate at prescribed intervals, superposing a photosetting type dyable resin thereon, exposing the resin by using a filter which cuts the light transmitted through the dye parts from the rear of the substrate, developing the resin and dyeing the remaining resin part to black. CONSTITUTION:The patterns of the dye parts of red, blue and green are formed on the gelatin film on a transparent glass substrate 1 except black stripe forming regions 2 and are isolated by the regions 2. A layer 3 of a photosetting type formed by adding ammonium dichromate to gelatin is superposed on the gelatin. A filter 4 is disposed on the rear of the substrate 1 to reflect or absorb the light transmitted through the dye parts R, B, G, then the resin layer is exposed by a high-pressure mercury lamp. The dyeable resin remains in the regions 2 when the resin is developed by hot water. The substrate is immersed in a black dyeing bath by which the black stripes are formed. The cost of the color filter with black stripes is reduced by this method. |
