PURPOSE:To facilitate fixing of an advance/back switching device, by fixing a support member for supporting an idle gear shaft and a back shaft to the front wall of a case and fitting a portion of a bearing projecting from said front wall in said supporting member. CONSTITUTION:A supporting member 3 bears the rear ends of an idle gear shaft 5 and a back shaft 6 and fixes to the front wall Ma of a transmission case. Here, portions of a bearing 24 for an output shaft 7 and bearing 26 for a counter shaft 25 projecting from the front wall Ma of the transmission case are fitted to the supporting member 3 then fastened to the front wall Ma through bolts. Since the supporting member 3 is positioned by means of a plurality of bearings 24, 26, an advance/back switching device A can be fixed easily and accurately to the front wall Ma of the transmission case.
