PURPOSE:To obtain a reagent which has the detecting capacity on a par with EIA, RIA, etc., and is easily usable by sensitizing a monoclonal antibody of an IgM class in which the antigenic determinant to recognize is CA19-9 to carrier particles. CONSTITUTION:The reagent is prepd. by sensitizing the monoclonal antibody of the IgM class in which the antigenic determinant to recognize is CA19-9. The monoclonal antibody is prepd. by refining the supernatant of a cultured gastric cancer-derived cell strain KATO-III by gel filtration, using the resulted high molecular glycoprotein as an immune antigen, immunizing the same together with Freund complete adjuvant to a BALS/c mouse and cloning the monoclonal antibody of the IgM class to recognize the antigenic determinant CA19-9. Ordinary carrier particles having a reverse passive agglutination reaction effect are used for the carrier particles to be sensitized with the monoclonal antibody and red blood cells, etc., of animal such as human and goat are usable. The antibody sensitized particles obtd. in such a manner are freeze-dried and are used to measurement by combining with a renatured liquid, liquid for diluting serum, standard serum, unsensitized carrier, nonspecific reaction absorbent liquid, etc.
