<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the alignment of both substrates with high accuracy by forming a filter part of one color among three primary colors, on the inside surface of one substrate, forming filter parts of two colors on the inside surface of the other substrate by leaving a blank part, and using the filter part of one color and the blank part as an alignment reference. CONSTITUTION:Among three primary colors for constituting a color filter layer 13, for instance, filter parts of two colors of red 13R and blue 13B, a filter part of green 13G being other one color are formed on a display substrate 11 side, and an opposed substrate 16 side, respectively, and on a part of the color filter layer 13 of the display substrate 11 side, a blank part 30 corresponding to the filter part of green 13 of the opposed substrate 16 side is provided. Also, the blank part 30 and the filter part of green 13G function as an alignment reference at the time of assembling a liquid crystal cell 20. That is to say, by allowing the blank part 30 and the filter part of green 13 to coincide with each other, an alignment of the display substrate 11 and the opposed substrate 16 is executed. In such a way, the liquid crystal cell can be assembled with high position accuracy, the alignment at the time of assembly can be executed easily, and the yield of a finished product is improved.</p> |
