A vehicle chassis held in jaws (6c,6d) mounted at the top of a vertical post (5) is clamped in a derived position w.r.t a guide beam (3) by vertical movement of the post through two apertured plates (8,9) sandwiching the guide beam and a channel (7) therein, and transverse movement along the channel. The post has two radial projections through which screws (14a,15) from the line plates project. - Tightening both screws fixes the post. Loosening either screw permits transverse movement. Loosening the lower or upper screw, respectively, permits vertical movement up and down.
