PURPOSE:To prevent the deflection or twist of a type sheet and to keep good printing quality over a long period of time, by providing protruding step for preliminarily pulling and deforming the winding part of the type sheet to fix the same to the surface of a receiving table taking up the type sheet. CONSTITUTION:When the type part 1a of the type sheet 1b selected by the rotation of a type wheel 1 reaches the position corresponding to a platen 5, printing is performed by a hammer mechanism 6. The type sheet 1b is composed of silicone rubber and held to the receiving table 2 of the type wheel 2 by engaging a plurality of the positioning projections 1c of the type sheet 1 with the holes 2a of said receiving table 2. However, when the type sheet 1b is continuously used for a long period of time, said sheet 1b stretches to a certain degree and, therefore, a protruding step part 2b is provided to the surface of the receiving table 2 positioned at the winding part, on and after the final contact surface of a type part 1a, of the type sheet 1b within the one-revolution cycle cf the type wheel 1 and an ink roll 3 and tensile deformation is preliminarily generated in the winding part of the type sheet 1b to absorb the stretching of the type sheet 1b. By this method, even when the type sheet slightly stretches during long-term continuous use, deflection or twist is not generated and good printing quality can be kept.
