PURPOSE:To automatically change a sound volume and a tone color corresponding to a time zone and ambient status, by constituting a device so that plural ringings with different levels and frequencies are generated repeatedly, and a call bone to a subscriber is changed according to the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION:A telephone subscriber 2 performs off-hook, and after confirming a dialer, dials the telephone number of a telephone subscriber 1. When it is recognized as outgoing to the subscriber 1, a central processor 7 sends a control signal 11 to a ringing subscriber controller 4. The controller 4 starts up a ringing device 5 based on the signal 11, and also, connects the subscriber 1 to the device 5 by controlling a relay 3a in a telephone subscriber circuit 3. The device 5 generates different levels and the ringings of the the frequencies of an A phase, a B phase, a C phase, and a D phase, and the processor 7 selects an optimum ringing by judging a present time, and issues indication to the controller 4. Thus, it is possible to change the sound volume and the tone color of the call tone corresponding to the time zone and the ambient status.
