PURPOSE:To prevent gradation and resolution from being lowered and picture quality from being deteriorated, by mixing and reproducing a multilevel picture data and a binary picture data by applying output control on them at a prescribed area. CONSTITUTION:A multilevel reading signal 11 and a binary reading signal 12 are outputted from a control circuit 13 to a multilevel memory 1 and a binary memory 2 synchronizing with a synchronizing signal 10. A multilevel video signal 3 and a binary video signal 4 are outputted from the multilevel memory 1 and the binary memory 2, respectively. While a selection signal outputted from the control circuit 13 is set at 0, the AND of the multilevel video signal 3 and the binary video signal 4 at every bit is performed at every prescribed area at a logical operation part 6, and when the selection signal goes to 1, the OR of both signals 3 and 4 at every bit is performed at every area. Next, the output of the logical operation part 6 is converted to an analog video signal at a D/A converter 7, and is displayed on a CRT9 via an amplifier 8. |
