PURPOSE:To simplify speed control, by setting a lead pitch in each part to the value conformed to the setting speed of a conveyed work in the part according to the desired speed control characterisc of the conveyed work, in the case of a lead screw available for an optical disc cartridge conveyor or the like. CONSTITUTION:A nut 2a of a supporting member 2 is engaged with a thread ridge 1a of a lead screw 1, and reciprocation of this supporting member 2 is carried out by a motor 5. A lead pitch of this screw ridge 1a is gradually increased at a speed adjustable range A1, the maximum pitch is maintained at an intermediate specified constant speed range C, and the pitch is gradually decreased at another speed adjustable range A2. Therefore, speed control is performable without doing complex rotational frequency control.
