PURPOSE:To make 'hot shift' possible with a single sliding clutch by alternatively selecting two speed change gear mechanisms in two power transmitting courses including two kinds of power changeover mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:A power transmitting course from an input shaft 1 to an output shaft 2 is divided into the first power transmitting course A provided with sliding clutch 1A and a power transmission mechanism A interposed therein, and the second power transmitting course provided with free wheels 10b, 20b, and a power transmission mechanism B interposed therein. Both power transmission mechanisms A, B are constructed to select respective speed change gear mechanisms 10, 20 alternatively. Thereby, 'hot shift' is made possibly by using a single sliding clutch, in the same way as the conventional speed change gear which can not conduct the 'hot shift'.
