PURPOSE:To keep off any breakdown in a bead, by setting a rising angle in an inner circumferential part of the bead formed along a smooth curve to be smaller than that in an outer circumferential part. CONSTITUTION:Beads 7 and 10 are formed along each of opening edges 2a and 6a of an opening 2 of a gasket 1, an oil return opening 4 and a bolt insertion opening 6. An inner circumferential part 7a of the bead adjoined to the cylinder opening edge 2a is tilted at a gentle angle as compared with an outer circumferential part 7b of the bead 7. Accordingly, a deformation stress being liable to grow larger at the inner circumferential part 7a of the bead 7 to be produced by what the head 7 is depressed by bolt clamping force comes almost equal to that being produced at the outer circumferential part 7b, so that the bead 7 is hard to receive a fatigue failure.
