Water-insoluble mono azo dyes of Formula (I) are prepared by diazotizing an amine of Formula (II) and coupling with 3-(#-cyano-ethyl-amino)- anisole preferably at pH 2-4 in presence of an acid binding agent. The dyes give red and yellow-red shades on polyester and cellulose acetate materials.
