PURPOSE:To accurately measure the concn. of a chloride ion, by removing a sulfide ion in a concrete kneaded substance and subsequently bringing said kneaded substance into contact with silver bichromate or silver chromate to precipitate silver chloride. CONSTITUTION:In measuring the concn. of the chloride ion in a concrete kneaded substance, the aqueous solution of the kneaded substance is preliminarily brought into contact with a water-soluble compound containing a metal element reacted with the sulfide ion in an alkaline atmosphere to precipitate metal sulfide to remove the sulfide ion. Thereafter, said aqueous solution is brought into contact with silver chromate to precipitate silver chloride to measure the concn. of the chloride ion. By this measuring method, the effect due to the sulfide ion can be removed and the concn. of the chloride ion can be measured accurately and simply.
