PATTERN EXTRACTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To extract a correct and stable pattern by arithmetically processing binarization image data from a binarization means and original picture data between respective picture elements and removing the inclined change part of the variable density level of the original picture data to be binarized. CONSTITUTION:An ITV camera 1 fetches a picture signal and stores in a picture memory 3 via an A/D converter 2. According to a command from the main control part 10 of a picture extraction processing part 4, a differential processing part 5 horizontally and vertically differentiates the picture data to feed the picture data to a synthesizing part 8. The synthesizing part 8 synthesizes the respectively derivative picture data. The picture data is binarized in the binarization processing part 6 and the picture data is synthesized in the synthesizing part 8 again. The AND arithmetic processing of the binarization picture data and the original picture data between the respective picture elements is carried out, the inclined change part of the variable density level in the original picture data is removed and the binarization is executed in an extraction processing part 9 to extract the pattern of the picture.
