According to the invention the residual liquid, after storage 1, filtration 2 and passage through a buffer tank 3, is subjected to an evaporation-distillation 5 and then, after separation 7 of the concentrates 11, the polluted light organic phase 8 is incinerated, for example in a catalytic incinerator 9, with heat exchanger and preheating chamber. The plant is provided with a series of pumps, control systems and recycled and energy recovery-transfer circuits. The purification yields are practically quantitative and the gases discharged at the stack 19 contain negligible pollution. Application to the purification of any residual aqueous fluids with organic or inorganic polluting burden, such as, for example, liquid cutting oil waste or the like. <IMAGE>
