PURPOSE:To form a coil in a specific diameter with high efficiency by pressing an element wire fed from the delivery port of a guide nozzle by inclining it to the guide groove of an abutting tool and adjusting the distance between the abutting tool and guide nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The element wire 1 is fed to a guide nozzle 6 via an intermediate guide 5 by a wire feeding roller 4a via a wire guide 3 after removing the bending habit by a wire straightener 2. The element wire 1 tip fed from the delivery port 7 of the guide nozzle 6 is pressed by advancing to the guide groove 10 formed on the inclined face 9 of the abutting tool 8 located just before. The distance between the abutting tool 8 and guide nozzle 6 is then adjusted via a computor 21 and cylinder 20 according to the delively speed of the element wire 1. Even the element wire composed of the material that a bending habit is easy to remain of W, Mo, sintered metal, etc., is made capable of its coiling with good yield without coming out of the guide groove 10.
