[Also in Division B8] A lid assembly 18 for use with, e.g. a container 12 of plastics or cardboard to form a dispensing container for e.g. soap powder comprises a lid 20 having an internal annular flange 20a and an opening 30 which is closable by a spring biased plate closure 32 attached to a handle 34, slidable in a groove 35. A spring 40 is connected at one end to a projection 38, Fig. 3, on the handle 34 and at the other end into a recess in the flange 20a. Upon pushing the closure plate 32 inwardly, against the bias of the spring 40, the opening 30 is uncovered. Movement of the spring 40 during this operation facilitates dispensing by agitation of the container's contents. The dispenser may be attached to a wall, e.g. by a flange 22 and bracket 25 or by adhesive. The container 12 may be shaped as a child's toy. |
