The invention comprises the novel compounds and the acid addition salts thereof, wherein Ar is aryl, aralkenyl or heterocyclyl and X is CH 3 or C 2 H 5 . The compound of Formula II is prepared by reacting the compound with an aromatic aldehyde and this is subsequently hydrogenated, e.g. using a platinum catalyst, to the compound of the Formula III. In the examples the compounds having Ar = phenyl and X = CH 3 or C 2 H 5 are prepared. Compounds of Formula III are converted to N,O-acetals by treatment with a C 1-4 aliphatic aldehyde e.g. acetaldehyde. |
