In a two-piece piston with a head piece (1) and a trunk (3) hinged only over the piston pin, it is known to cover an annular space (6) radially located inside the piston ring groove and open in the direction of the trunk (3) with a sheet metal part (7), forming a cooling oil duct. In the known embodiment, the sheet metal part (7) is attached by crimping it on the annular wall (4) that carries the piston rings. Because of the reduced thickness of the sheet metal part (7), this attachment method is not reliable during long working periods of the piston. It is furthermore sought to cover the cooling oil annular space (6) as completely as possible. According to the invention, the sheet metal part (7) is held by a collar (8) that extends from the outer annular wall (4) of the head piece (1) and is crimped around the sheet metal part (7). For optimally covering the annular space (6), the sheet metal part (7) is radially divided into two parts.
|
