With a raw gas cooling device (1), with a large number of tubes or banks of tubes (3), which are flowed through by gas, inside a container (2), aligned essentially in the direction of gravitational force, with a gas inlet chamber and, lying at the top in the direction of gravitational force, gas outlet chambers (5), a solution is to be provided, with which the erection of a steam-collecting drum is superfluous or with which it is possible to assign the latter to the raw gas cooler (1). This is achieved in that the container (2) is filled with feed-water only as far as the region of the gas outlet chambers (5) and there are provided therein inside the container (2), over the essential height of the water filling, downpipes (12) with an upper water inlet (13) and a lower water outlet (15). <IMAGE> |
