The cladding of a fan mill with a spiral-shaped housing part (4) adjoined by an outlet channel (5) consists of a peripheral cladding (6) lining the inner wall of the housing, and of a plurality of polygonal, plate-shaped cladding elements (9) arranged on a parallel axis to each other in the corner between the peripheral cladding (6) and the outlet channel (5). The cladding elements (9) each have a recess (11) into which there engages a holding rail (10) attached to the housing (4). To protect the holding rail (10) against wear by dust-laden gases from the mill interior, the cladding elements (9) are provided beneath the recess (11) with a projection (12) on one side and a matching groove (13) on the other side. The cladding elements (9) are jointed together such that the projection (12) of each cladding element engages in the respective groove (13) of the adjacent cladding element.
