PURPOSE:To produce and correct designs with high efficiency for framing ruled lines, etc., of a slip by magnifying the graphic character strings of a slip displayed on a screen over the entire screen size for input of the detailed parts of the design. CONSTITUTION:The graphic form and character string for a slip design are inputted to a CRT 10 from an input device 20 and displayed via a spacing chart display routine 51. The slip is designed on a display screen together with confirmation of a display design and an entire design. The designed slip is stored in a file 30 or outputted via an output device 40. When the area of the slip is magnified on the screen, said area to be magnified is set by two points designated at optional positions on the screen. Then the horizontal magnifying power is calculated between said two points. The vertical distance is calculated with magnifying power equivalent to said horizontal magnifying power for display of a rectangle. Then the input of the design is carried out and the information on output of pictures is converted after the design job is finished.
