The eccentric rotary vane pump unit comprises a motor-driven (1;2) eccentric rotor (9) with radial slide vanes (10) in a housing (11) chamber between end covers (7,12) provided with inlet and outlet connections to/from segment-shaped inlet (14) and outlet (15) ducts in one end face of the housing (ring 11). The end cover (7) facing the ducts (14,15) is directly secured to the drive (2) end of the motor housing by screws (4) whereby one screw is arranged in the area covered by the outlet duct (15). The components (7,9-13) may consist of graphite-loaded plastics. USE/ADVANTAGE - Particularly for small pumps absorbing 10-100 W at 5000 rpm to handle air. The arrangement eliminates the need for a separate mounting flange interposed between the end cover and the motor and for a seal ring in this cover where this connects to the outlet.
