PURPOSE:To decide the position of a motor with high accuracy by stopping temporarily a command pulse and a feedback pulse to a deviation counter and detecting the number of pulses stored in the deviation counter. CONSTITUTION:A command pulse CP is produced from a command pulse generating means 5 and then outputted to a deviation counter 1. An incremental encoder 4 produces a feedback pulse FBP in response to the rotational frequency of a motor 3. The pulse FBP passed through a feedback pulse control means 7 is outputted to the counter 1 in the form of a pulse FP. The output of the counter 1 undergoes the analog conversion through a D/A converter 2 and drives the motor 3. The means 7 also decides whether the pulse FBP received from the encoder 4 and supplied to the motor 3 should be outputted or not as the pulse FP.
