<p>The integrity of the airtightness of an object being inspected is judged by measuring the changes with time in the pressure of a fluid at a predetermined pressure which is applied to the object being inspected, or in the differential pressure between that pressure and the pressure of fluid which is applied to a comparison tank, and by making a comparison between the measured value and a reference value. Among data on the measured pressure or differential pressure obtained during such an inspection, data on an object judged to be good is sorted according to the temperature difference between the object and the comparison tank or the temperature difference between the object and the ambient temperature, and a predetermined number of sorted data items are retroactively stored. A mean value of the stored data is calculated for each temperature difference. Using the calculated mean value as a correction value, measured pressure or differential pressure data on objects inspected thereafter can be corrected for each temperature difference.</p> |
