The supporting-bolt connection consists, on the one hand, of an end cap (3) or bearing bush (15), preferably made of plastic, which is inserted into the leg (17) or arm (1) of the star base of the piece of furniture and has a hollow (5; 16) with a locking bulge (6; 6') running all the way round inside it, said bulge snapping into a locking recess (8') running all the way round in the upper region of the supporting bolt (7), on fitting a supporting bolt (7) into said hollow (5; 16). On the other hand, the supporting bolt (7) is fixed in a known manner in the castor holder (10) of the leg castor (11) by means of a clamping member (9) (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
