The circuit is used in a colour television receiver employing a comb filter. The comb filter e.g. one using CCD's responds to switching signals for providing separate outputs from which the luminance and chrominance television signal components are derived. The translating circuit includes two cascaded, bandpass filters. The first filter receives comb filter output signals including desired chrominance signals and undesired signal components. The circuit prevents unwanted high frequency components, partic. those associated with the comb filter switching signals, from reaching the colour demodulators of the receiver.
