PURPOSE:To attain the turn-over of pages of a program and to decrease the waiting time by receiving and displaying designated program soon from a stored program is selecting the program number of an object teletext by means of remote control. CONSTITUTION:A teletext signal is extracted from a television signal inputted from a television video input terminal 1 by a data clock generating circuit 4 and converted into a digital signal. Then a program data is stored in a packet buffer 7 via an error correction circuit (BEST) 6. Then the program data stored in a packet buffer 7 is transferred and stored sequentially in a program data storage RAM 15 by a picture processing MPU 9. In selecting the object teletext program by the remote controller 30, a program selection number data is sent to the picture processing MPU 9 via a light receiving section 31 and a system control MPU 20, it is extracted form the program data storage RAM 15 and the designated program is received and displayed.
