PURPOSE:To prevent the shift of a magnetic head when a magnetic disk is stopped by providing a transmission means between a rotary shaft and a rotor to ensure coupled revolution between them. CONSTITUTION:A pin 18 as well as a link 16 serving as a rotor which can freely rotate against a rotary shaft 8 are provided to this shaft 8 of a stepping motor 5 serving as a drive motor of a magnetic head. The rotor is energized in a single direction by a coil spring 19 serving as an energizing means and the revolution of the rotor is controlled by an arm 25A serving as an interlocking means for storage of the energy of the spring 19. At the same time, the elastic energy of the spring 199 is applied to the shaft 8 via a movable plate 14 serving as a transmission means as soon as the control of the arm 25A is released. Thus a magnetic head 4 can be moved to a prescribed landing zone. While the revolution of the magnetic head can be controlled while the magnetic disk is kept stopped owing to an interlocking state between the pin 18 and the other arm 25B.
