The lid of a large household pack can be designed to be child-resistant regardless of the presence of a carrying handle if it consists of a lid frame (1), firmly connected to the container, and a lid disc (7) to be placed loosely therein, and if an undercut (4) and a pivotable fixing tab (5) approximately diametrically opposite said undercut are provided on the internal circumference (3) of the lid frame (1). Furthermore, the lid disc (7) is to be adapted in shape and size to the opening cross-section defined by the inner edge (13) of the undercut (4) and the rest of the internal circumference (2) of the lid frame (1) (Figure 6). <IMAGE>
