A means for surrounding and decorating graves comprises individual hollow-body elements which consist of plastic, can be connected to one another and, in their entirety, provide the surround, including the gravestone. Personal information, decorations and words of commemoration may be provided, in the form of individual elements, on the gravestone surface, which may bear a marble or stone texture. The low weight of the hollow-body elements permits simple handling and prevents subsequent sinking.
