PURPOSE:To facilitate working technology for a metallic belt and to reduce the manufacturing cost by combining pins having a convex curved surface as the lower end surface thereof instead of forming one plate in a V-block to smooth the sliding between a V-block and a chain. CONSTITUTION:A V-block 2 includes left and right plates 6, 6, which are disposed parallel to each other, and fixed by an upper pin 7 and a lower pin 8, the lower pin 8 forming a convex curved surface of the lower end surface 3, the upper surface being a convex curved surface. A metallic belt has the lower end surface 3, which is a balance surface of a tension T of a chain with tension F of the V-block, that form a smooth convex curved surface. The V-block 2 is adapted to thrust a preceding V-block 2 forward, not being obstructed by a chain 1 wound round a V-pulley 5 in a polygonal state, so as to accomplish a smooth power transmission. The reduction of sliding resistance between the V-block 2 and the chain 1 will restrain frictional heat to enable a quiet operation. The belt can be manufactured easily and at low cost by using a circular pin for the convex curved surface of the lower end surface 3. |
