PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of exhaust gas purification and also the durability of a processing device in a horizontal opposed engine by arranging a lead valve for supplying secondary air to an exhaust path in a space sandwiched by a cylinder and an engine case. CONSTITUTION:A lead valve 31 is mounted on the lower surface of a cylinder head 21 at the cylinder block 26 side so that it is connected to a secondary air supply path 41 opening to the proximity of an exhaust port 36, to utilize effectively a space on the lower surface of the cylinder head 21. Hence, simplified and compact exhaust gas processing members can be arranged at the front, rear, left and right sides of and above an engine 6. Thus, the efficiency of purifying exhaust gas is improved while the processing device can be protected from the external substances to improve the durability of said device. |
