Dye solutions

Storage-stable concentrated dye solutions are obtained by a simple method which involves conjointly processing the salts of anionic azo dyes which contain as coupling components an indole derivative of the general formula <IMAGE> in which R1 and R are substituents which are conventional in the chemistry of azo dyes, and n is a number from 0 to 3, by addition of a compound which is alkaline in water and, if desired, of a nonionic surfactant.
