<p>In order to avoid accidental injuries of the operator or damage to the material being cut by means of a laser beam, a process is disclosed by which a compact jet of a liquid transparent to laser radiation is generated immediately before the outlet of the laser radiation from a light guide and directed towards the material to be cut. A device for implementing this process is also disclosed.</p> |
