A gas flow measuring system comprising a gas flow conduit (32; 132) for carrying a flowing gas mixture of known constituents in unknown proportions, characterised by a gas analyser (34; 134) coupled to the conduit (32; 132) for measuring the specific gravity of the flowing gas mixture, a mass flowmeter (38; 138) coupled to the conduit (32; 132) for measuring the mass flow rate of the flowing gas mixture, and a measurement correlator (58; 158) for correlating the measurements of specific gravity and of mass flow rate to produce a resultant signal (60; 160) representative of the volumetric flow rate of the flowing gas mixture. |
