PURPOSE:To ensure the effect of a memory area control system especially with such a program including many conversations as those for education, training, etc., by making use of the waiting time during execution of a program to collect the undesired areas and therefore avoiding the interruptions which are not desired by users. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 carries out successively the prescribed calculations based on a user program given from an input part 5. Then the CPU 1 calculates the requested memory value (the number of bits used for storage in a memory 3 against the results of said prescribed calculations and sends the calculated memory value to a boundary control device 2 together with said results of calculations. The device 2 stores these received results of calculations into the memory 3 and at the same time subtracts the memory value requested to the calculation result from the prescribed maximum memory value of the memory 3. In such a way, the calculation of the unused memory area value is carried out successively together with the writing actions of calculation results. When the unused memory area value is equal to zero or becomes minus, the device 2 collects the undesired areas over the entire area 3.
