PREPARATION OF BLOOD MEAL AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To prepare blood meal decreasing the emission of foul smell, by dehumidifying and burning exhaust gas generating in the preparation process comprising the heating of fresh blood with steam, dehydration and crushing of the coagulated blood and drying of the powder with hot air. CONSTITUTION:Steam is blown in fresh animal blood to effect thermal coagulation of the blood. The coagulated blood clot is dehydrated to a water-content of <=72%, crushed to a size of <=5mm and dried with hot air at <=195 deg.C to obtain the objective blood meal. The smell of the exhaust gas can be eliminated by cooling the gas to 40-60 deg.C and burning the gas after dehumidification.
