PURPOSE:To provide the titled casing capable of reducing noise generated at the time of a printing operation without sacrificing easiness of setting a recording paper, wherein the gap between an end part of a shelf plate and a cover on the discharging side of the recording paper is small, and the gap between the end part of the shelf plate and an upper surface of an upper casing on the inserting side of the paper is also small. CONSTITUTION:On the upper surface of the upper casing 2 faced to the shelf plate 18, projections 21, 21 are projectedly provided so as to extend in the transverse direction of the recording paper 13, while a projection 22 parallel with the projections 21 is provided on the lower surface of the plate 18. In this case, the tip of the projection 22 is located below the tips of the projections 21. On the discharging side of the paper 13, the gap between the end part 19 of the plate 18 and the cover is small, and on the insertion side, the gap between the end part 19 and the upper surface of the upper casing 2 is small. Accordingly, gaps responsible for leakage of noises are substantially completely closed, and trembling noise due to minute vibration of the paper 13 is reduced. |
