PURPOSE:To provide a resin compsn. for paints, which has good room temperature curability and gives a cured film haivng excellent mechanical strength, containing a tert. amino group-contg. vinyl polymer, a polyepoxy compd. and a polyisocyanate compd. CONSTITUTION:A tert. amino group-contg. vinyl polymer (A), a polyepoxy compd. (B), a polyisocyanate compd. (C) and optionally a pigment, a solvent, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate or a ketone resin or a chlorinated polyolefin are blended together to prepare a paint. Said vinyl polymer can be obtd. (1) by copolymerizing a tert. amino group-contg. monomer and other vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith, or (2) by reacting a vinyl polymer contg. acid anhydride groups with a compd. having a tert. amino group and active hydrogen capable of reacting with the acid anhydride group.
