PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of speediness for replacing work, by constituting it to deliver a workpiece from an auto chuck clamping the one end side of the workpiece to another auto chuck clamping the other end side of the workpiece at an intermediate position of a machining zone. CONSTITUTION:An unmachined workpiece W is clamped to a hanger 10, an automatic machine tool is started, and an auto chuck 2 being situated in a work feeding position A is advanced toward the hanger 10. And, the workpiece W is clamped and started to moved toward in intermediate position C of a machining zone K as rotating it. During this while, the workpiece is cut turning by cutting tools 6a and 6b, drilled by drills 6c-6f, and furthermore it is cut in turning by a cutting tool 6g, then it is grooved by a grooving tool 6h. Afterward, the workpiece W is delivered to an auto chuck 4 from another auto chuck 2, and it is further machined by cutting tools 7a-7e. With this constitution, double end sides of the workpiece W are machinable. |
