PURPOSE:To obtain a burst detection pulse through a waveform shaping device from the obtained burst wave by using an adder, an attenuator and a delay line having the length of one period (t=tau) of a burst wave so as to delay the burst wave by tau through a delay line, thereby feeding back the result to the input side of the delay line again through the attenuator. CONSTITUTION:A signal including a burst inputted from an input terminal 7 goes to a signal (a) while only the burst wave is separated by a burst gate circuit 9 and a band pass filter 10 and is given to an adder 11. The output of the adder 11 is inputted to a delay line 12 having a length being the multiple of integer (t=n.tau) of the length of one period, the output is attenuated by an attenuator 13 having an attenuation ratio eta(eta<=1) of the attenuation ratio to obtain a waveform (b) attenuated by eta with retarded n.eta, and fed to the other input of the adder 11. Since the waveform (c) of the adder 11 is inputted further by the delay line 12, a positive feedback loop is established and increased by every circulation of the loop and becomes a waveform (d). The increased burst wave is extracted from the output of the adder 11 and inputted to a waveform shaping device 14, then a burst detection pulse (e) is obtained.
